Introduction to the park

Dawenkou site is located in Dawenkou Town, Daiyue district and Ciyao Town, Ningyang County, on both sides of the Wen River in the south of Tai'an City, Shandong Province. All the existing sites are included in the park. The park covers an area of 390 hectares, reaching national highway 104 in the west, the site construction control zone in the north, 300 meters north of the northern boundary, the barrage in the East, and the Yinwen main canal in the south.

Considering the integrity of the Heritage Park and its surrounding resources, and based on the scope of planning and research, the overall structure and function planning are carried out. The planning structure is "five areas, one belt and three nodes". The five areas are the exhibition area of the Heritage Park, the ancient town of Dawenkou, the farming experience area of the teahouse cottage, the ecological agriculture sightseeing area of the Xiaowen River, and the service area in front of the Heritage Park; This area is the riverside landscape belt of Dawen River; The three nodes are Dawenkou site museum, Dawenkou ancient stone bridge and its bridgehead area, and Taiwen Park Bridge and its bridgehead area.

The Heritage Park connects and radiates the surrounding cultural heritage such as Dawen River, Yunting mountain site, Wenjiang city site, Shanxi guild hall, Shangquan ancient spring group, and strives to build a Dawenkou cultural scenic spot integrating heritage protection, exhibition and utilization, cultural exchange, ecological sightseeing, tourism services, and urban development and construction.
The project of Dawenkou archaeological site park was approved by the State Administration of cultural relics in 2010, and was included in the national "12th Five Year Plan" for the protection of major sites and the list of the first 23 site parks in the country. At present, the construction of Dawenkou site museum, theme park area, site core area, ancient town development zone and riverside landscape belt has been completed and is being implemented.
